Access to Healthcare Raffle
Funded Aug 15, 2024Thank you for your generous support of our school's telehealth initiative. Your contributions helped create an engaging raffle program that successfully encouraged families to enroll in our school-based healthcare services. The excitement was palpable when we announced the two winning families, who were overjoyed to receive the raffle prizes. More importantly, through this incentive program, we've significantly increased student access to medical care during school hours, ensuring that health concerns can be addressed promptly without requiring parents to leave work or children to miss extended class time.
The impact of your support extends far beyond the raffle winners' smiles. Our telehealth program now enables students to receive medical attention for common ailments, mental health support, and routine health monitoring right here in the nurse's office. Recently, we were able to help a student with chronic asthma get a quick virtual consultation during a concerning episode, allowing them to receive appropriate care and return to class rather than requiring an emergency pickup. Parents have expressed immense relief knowing their children have access to healthcare professionals throughout the school day.
The enthusiastic response to the raffle demonstrates how much our families value having access to healthcare during school hours. Seeing the joy on the winners' faces as they received their prizes was wonderful, but even more rewarding is knowing that more students now have access to healthcare when they need it most. Your support has truly transformed how we deliver healthcare in our school community, creating a more accessible and efficient system that keeps our students healthy and ready to learn.”
