Nails! Nails!
Funded Jul 21, 2024On behalf of my students, they would like to thank you for contributing to the club. The students were excited to use the products that you have donated to us. The students started by practicing to do simple manicures filing nails. by treating the boys hands and nails. Taking the time to clean the nails and file them. And if the boys allowed it, then their nails had at least one coat of clear polish.
The students who handled the acrylic nails were able to do a lot. At least two girls were able to 'soak off' the tips that they had for over 3 weeks. A couple of other students wanted to try to work on the acrylic tips. The students were able to experience the acrylic nails in the following order: filing the surface of the nails (a little bit),using acrylic primer, then applying acrylic tips onto the fingernails with nail glue to using acetone and acrylic powder to help seal the acrylic tips. Filling down the hardened acrylic powder and tips with the electric nail filer to make the tips smooth. Then, using the base clear polish and then the polish of the students' wishes. It was a new experience for all of the students to either play the role of a nail technician or customer.
Thank you again for allowing these students to be able to have this experience. They should be ready and not nervous to do manicures and tips by springtime for the talent show(s), school dances, and the senior prom.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Campbell

Funded May 8, 2024I apologize for the delay. I was out sick and my club did not begin yet, so this will be based off of the club that we had before September. The students were happy to see that we were given more supplies. A few of the girls who were interested in foundations were able to see which bottles of F.I.T. Foundation matched their complexion the best. It was great to see the girls try different colors that were not available in the beginning.
Two of the girls took notes on which F.I.T. Foundation they will buy in the future. The same students were trying the different concealers that lightened the darker areas on their faces. The students were able to use some of the brushes from the brush set so they can apply the eyeshadow and follow the Youtube video(s) and do the smoky effect. It has been a pleasure. On behalf of my students and the school, I thank you again for your donation and being able to make things happen for my students.”
