Blossoming Little Gardeners
Funded Mar 18, 2024Thank you for donating to our classroom! Our garden bed, supplies and greenhouse have been busy this school year! We were able to produce vegetables like peas and scallops that the kids were able to try and give the glad bunny some too! We were also able to plant flowers for Mother's Day and grow them in our greenhouse too! MM
The students love the garden. They adventure into the greenhouse to find new projects daily and are always engaged!
Our next step is to bring the next round of students into the garden. We have recently planted fall mums and we are learning about the plant life cycle. We are going to plant some cold plants such as broccoli so the students can see the prices start to finish before the spring!”

Help Us Grow
Funded Apr 4, 2024Our students have been thrilled to be able to use their garden and actually eat the produce they have grown. When they first saw the materials, they were absolutely blown away that they got to use it! They were an absolute shock that they got to have their garden gloves and tools to be a successful gardener.
Already the school year, we haven't able to include fall growth projects. The students have been able to discuss various science standards and have been able to include words such as pollinators as to what plants need to live. It has brought their thinking to such a new level and they have so many ideas of what they want to grow and try to eat.
For this coming school year, we have plans to make a fall flower garden to introduce the materials to the garden. In the winter, we are going to do some winter starts and use the greenhouse to watch them flourish. In spring we will transplant the sprouts and hopefully have some veggies to eat come the end of the school year!”
