I want to take a moment to Thank You again for your generous donation. I have enjoyed seeing the children light up when we read something special. My students have absolutely loved the Scholastic StoryWorks Magazines. I love the convenience of having it digitally available to us to use at any time, but my students especially love the paper magazines. They have enjoyed the articles about animals the most! The classes were interested in the article we recently read about a rainbow squirrel and a baby bear rescue. I love making real world connections that happen outside our little corner of the world. We are always looking for text connections to ourselves, our community and our world. I cannot wait to read the Stella chapter books in my reading groups. It is about a dog that helps a girl in medical distress. We can connect it to article about rescuing the baby bears to show how humans and animals share the same world and can have a mutually beneficial connection.
