Hands-on STEM
Funded Nov 29, 2023Thank you for supporting my science project. I use the various manipulatives in my sensory table and I change them out each week. Some items I have been able to use in my Phonics lessons and practice centers too. My students enjoy using items and they have figured out ways to make manips work with each other in ways I didn't think of. The best part is all items can be used over and over, and for years to come.
In kindergarten, hands on activities are an absolute must. Each day my students have an opportunity to choose an activity and our STEM bins are always the first to be picked! I love incorporating STEM into our kindergarten classroom as much as possible. These products will also be used by my Special Ed students as part of their sensory breaks.Thank you for helping "Finn's Friends" explore. It is fun to see their excitement with each new item brought out.”

Funded Feb 22, 2023Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Many children enter kindergarten with out having been read to. My favorite part of each day is when I get to read to the children. They crave stories, poems, and songs. The importance of Nursery Rhymes is a lost art. With the Toniebox my students are able to choose between several character stories or nursery rhymes. The Toniebox will allows children to independently listen to stories when they complete their classwork.
They have the opportunity to choose what story, song or poem they listen to. The Toniebox also allows me to pre-record their favorite classroom books for them to listen to when they finish early with their work.
I am excited to offer independent stories to my class. This project allows small groups of children the opportunity to choose books of interest to them and still have an adult read to them.”

The ABC's of Reading
Funded Jun 4, 2023Thank you for supporting my kindergarten classroom. With new curriculum coming to light, I added several multi-sensory centers to my classroom using this funding. With this extra opportunity to practice, I look for students to develop and practice their skills so they become more confident readers. These items gave them the opportunity to practice with a purpose.
With changing times and community circumstances, students are not given the opportunity to "play" with language. The digital resources, a CVC words activity center, and other hands-on resources helped them with guided play and practice reading and writing CVC words within the classroom setting.
My classroom has several students with learning disabilities and these materials help ALL students practice and learn.”
