  • A Smorgasbord of Items

    Funded Jul 22, 2024

A variety of materials such as organization caddies, pencil sharpeners, and pens significantly enhance student success by fostering an organized and efficient learning environment. Access to these tools minimizes disruptions and supports smooth transitions between tasks, allowing students to focus better. When students have the right materials readily available, they are more likely to stay engaged, complete assignments on time, and develop effective study habits, ultimately leading to improved academic performance.”

  • First Year Teaching Student Council!

    Funded May 29, 2024

Thank you for your donations. My students and I are excited to use these materials to create fun and exciting events for the school. We're looking forward to hosting a neon dance for the kids.

Student council is for all three grade levels at our school and it comes with its own challenges of making events fun for kids 11-14. But I know with these materials events will be fun for all.

I know my kids are looking forward to playing with the strobe lights and all the different settings.

    Thank you.”

  • Interactive Notebook Needs

    Funded May 8, 2024

As an educator deeply committed to nurturing curiosity and fostering creativity in my students, I am constantly seeking innovative ways to enrich their learning experiences. With the generous support of our donors, we recently acquired a plethora of new resources that have opened up exciting avenues for exploration within our classroom. I am thrilled to share the journey of how we have been integrating these resources into our curriculum and the profound impact they have had on my students' engagement and learning.

One particular project that exemplifies the transformative power of these new resources is our exploration of renewable energy sources. Equipped with interactive simulations, hands-on experiments, and multimedia presentations, my students delved into the world of renewable energy with boundless enthusiasm and curiosity.

The moment my students first laid eyes on the materials was nothing short of magical. Their faces lit up with awe and excitement as they eagerly explored the colorful array of tools and resources laid out before them. There was a tangible sense of anticipation in the air as they eagerly anticipated the journey of discovery that lay ahead.

As we delved deeper into our renewable energy project, I was inspired by the level of enthusiasm and engagement displayed by my students. They eagerly embraced the opportunity to design and construct their own mini wind turbines and solar panels, applying their newfound knowledge to real-world challenges.

The highlight of our project came during our showcase event, where students presented their findings and innovations to their peers, parents, and community members. It was a moment of immense pride as I watched my students confidently articulate their ideas and insights, showcasing not only their academic growth but also their burgeoning leadership skills.

Looking ahead, the next steps for my students involve applying their understanding of renewable energy to tackle real-world problems facing our community. Through project-based learning and collaborative inquiry, they will work together to devise innovative solutions that harness the power of renewable energy to address issues such as environmental sustainability and energy access.

In addition to our renewable energy project, we are also exploring interdisciplinary connections between science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics (STEAM). Through hands-on projects and creative challenges, my students are discovering the interconnectedness of these disciplines and honing their problem-solving skills in the process.

In conclusion, the introduction of new resources into our classroom has ignited a spark of curiosity and innovation among my students, empowering them to explore, create, and collaborate in meaningful ways. As we continue on our journey of exploration and discovery, I am excited to see the transformative impact these experiences will have on my students' growth and development both inside and outside the classroom.”

  • New Teacher 6th Grade Social Studies

    Funded Mar 15, 2024

My students have loved having the wide range of fidget toys and I have loved having less distracted students. Upon seeing the wobble chair for the first-time kids and fellow teachers were very interested and immediately wanted to sit in it. Students loves the ability to move while I loved that they stayed in their seat.

The paper and laminator is going to be such a big help for the rest of this year and for many years to come. I really appreciate the option to give certain students material without worrying about it getting ripped or ruined before the end of day.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Flores
