Read Aloud Together "The Wishing Spell"

Thank you so incredibly much for providing a class set of the Land of Stories books. My students were captivated by the story and many of them have bought the rest of the collection to read over the summer!

My students were very engaged with the story and loved making predictions about what would happen next! We read for 20-30 minutes each day and then completed a comprehension packet for each chapter. We discussed some of the more difficult vocabulary in the story, the events that occurred in the chapter, and made connections from the text to our own lives. I have never seen my students so excited about reading!

After finishing the story, our class celebrated by having a "Fairy Tale Ball". We all dressed up as our favorite fairy tale character, completed many fairy tale related activities/crafts, and watched a Disney movie to end the day. The students loved it!
