Spreading Kindness With Crochet

Our donor's choose project has made a huge impact on our crochet club. Prior to receiving the donor's choose grant, we were reliant on yarn donations. Though we are of course grateful for all donations, often the donated yarn would come in small quantities, making it difficult to complete projects. The donor's choose materials we now have are full skeins of soft yarn in many colors, with enough of each color to complete multiple projects.

We also received many crochet hooks in various sizes, making it much easier for all to find the right hook for their project.

The Winman Middle School crochet club just resumed for the 2024-25 school year, and already the members are eager to use the new yarn and supplies to make a difference in their community. We have several students who are interested in making hats for newborns at the nearby hospital, and others who are working together to create blankets to donate to local nursing homes.
