Virtual Engagement
Funded Feb 13, 2024I am so very thankful for your donation for my Kindergarten and 2nd grade Computer Science Elgato Stream Deck. It is a fantastic tool for enhancing student engagement in our live lessons. Here are some ways it helps our students learn:
Interactive Learning: The Stream Deck allows for interactive learning experiences by enabling the teacher to switch between different screens, applications, and resources seamlessly during the live lesson, keeping students actively involved.
Visual Prompts: We can create custom buttons on the Stream Deck to display visual prompts, images, or videos that aid in explaining concepts to our young learners, ESE, and ESOL students in a more engaging and visual manner.
Gamification: By incorporating the Stream Deck into our lessons, we can introduce elements of gamification, such as rewards or sound effects triggered by pressing specific buttons, which motivates students to participate and stay focused.
Exciting Features for Students
The most exciting aspect of the Elgato Stream Deck for our students is the ability to see immediate changes and enhancements during the live lessons. They love the interactive nature of the tool and how it makes the lessons more dynamic and fun.
Students Reacting to the New Technology
Students who may have been more reserved in traditional classroom settings have also shown increased engagement and participation thanks to the interactive features of the Stream Deck.”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Pineda
