Comfortable Students Are Engaged Students

My students were excited to try out the new floor seating options as soon as I took them out of their shipping boxes. It's been quite a task to find a way to get the kids to share them. At least half of the kids have chosen to try them out already.

I lowered my classroom tables so they could work seated at that level. Some do their assignments using their Chromebooks and papers directly on the tables. Others have found it more comfortable to use their Chromebook on their lap and a clipboard for paper related activities. There's certainly enough demand that I'll try and get a few more of these floor seats in the future.
