  • Learning Through Art

    Funded Dec 30, 2024

Thank you so much for supporting my classroom get art supplies. They have used the supplies to help learn about different holidays around the world. One example of this is they used construction paper to make the paper lanterns when they learned about the Chinese New Year.

The students get excited when they are able to use art to enhance their learning. They are very creative, and it is fun to see what they create.

My initial need for the art supplies was for holidays around the world, and they had so much fun doing that, but the art supplies will also help with upcoming projects, as well. Every year, we make a published class book. The students get to be writers and illustrators. The supplies will be helpful while making this project.

Again, I am very thankful and appreciative that you would donate towards this project and future learning in my classroom.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Alexander

  • Art Supplies

    Funded Mar 27, 2024

My students have already started enjoying the resources that were purchased through this grant. Every year, we make a writing book. With the markers, especially the crayon skin tone markers, the students were able to illustrate more realistic portraits of themselves. With the play dough, the students are learning about fractions, shapes and sight words and using play dough to help learning. With the expo markers, the students will be able to answer questions and draw pictures in math to help their learning. The students were so excited!

Also, I plan to use the modeling clay and the other art supplies next school year to incorporate art into my science lessons like creating a planet when we learn about the solar system and creating a model of a flower when we discuss the play life cycle.

Thank you so much for helping my students learn and grow!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Alexander

  • Kinestetic Learning Supplies

    Funded Jan 18, 2024

Thank you so much for donating! The students love the materials and have had so much fun learning with them. They are using the play dough to create shapes and practice sight words. They are using the expo markers in math multiple ways-drawing base ten blocks to add double digit addition, solving word problems, etc.

The day I got my expo markers, one student said, "Yay!" We had been waiting to get an expo markers (she did not have one).

You are awesome, and I really appreciate you thinking of us.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Alexander
