Funded Sep 18, 2024My students were so excited when they saw their new portable whiteboards. They used them during our group activities and gallery walks. A Gallery walk is an activity where I pose questions on the whiteboards, and each student responds anonymously with a unique answer. After, during a class discussion, we point out which responses are correct and how we can adjust the others to make them accurate.
Another version of a Gallery Walk that we did recently is where I printed a problem on paper and taped it to the board. The board is then used for students to work out the problem, arrive at a solution, write their solution on their paper, erase their board, and then move on to the next problem. Activities like a Gallery Walk save me time and paper as I do not have to print a multiple-page assignment per student. These activities also engage students in the content and connect with their peers.
Your generous donation has made our journey more efficient and engaging.”
