STEM: Design Thinking
Funded Jan 3, 2024I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to express my deepest gratitude for your generous donation of materials to our classroom. Your support has enabled my students and me to embark on an incredible journey of exploration and creativity in the field of engineering.
With the materials you provided, my students and I delved into the fascinating world of engineering, focusing particularly on designing and constructing lockers and bridges. It was truly inspiring to witness the ingenuity and enthusiasm with which they approached each project. The lockers and bridges they designed were not merely structures; they were manifestations of their boundless imagination and newfound understanding of engineering principles.
One of the highlights of our exploration was the testing of the bridges for strength, as per our engineering lesson. The students eagerly applied the concepts they had learned about the shapes needed to create a strong and sturdy bridge. Through trial and error, they honed their problem-solving skills and gained a deeper appreciation for the intricacies of structural engineering.
As we near the culmination of our project, I am thrilled to see the culmination of their efforts. The students are currently working on a final project where they are applying all the ideas and concepts we have learned about design and engineering. Their task is to create an inclusive environment on Minecraft, one that caters to individuals with disabilities and transcends geographical boundaries. It is heartening to witness them channel their creativity and knowledge into a project that serves a noble cause.
Once again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for your generosity and support. Your contribution has made a significant difference in the lives of my students, empowering them to explore their potential and pursue their passion for engineering.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Ospina
