    We are so grateful for your generosity! Thanks to your contributions, our classroom now has engaging activities for the students, and they are already making a huge impact on our students' learning experience.

    One of the most exciting moments was when my students first saw the new materials. Their faces lit up with excitement, and they couldn't wait to start using them! One student exclaimed, 'This is the best day ever!' when she saw our prizes.

    We recently used the glue in a project where students make slime. It was incredible to see their creativity and engagement soar!

    Moving forward, we plan to incorporate all of these materials into speech sessions to engage the students. Your support has truly made a difference, and we can't wait to see how much more our students will grow.

  • Finding joy in Speech Therapy!

    I am thrilled to share the incredible impact that the materials from my funded DonorsChoose project have had on both my classroom and my students. The project provided us with essential speech and language games, a Cricut machine, and much-needed cleaning supplies, all of which are already making a significant difference.

    When my students saw the new games, their faces lit up with excitement. They immediately gravitated toward them, eager to play and learn. The interactive nature of the games has transformed their learning experience—now, they are more engaged and motivated to work on their speech and language skills. These materials allow for hands-on, interactive learning that is crucial for the diverse needs of my students, all of whom have Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). The games also encourage peer interaction, helping to build social-pragmatic skills in a fun and supportive environment.

    The Cricut machine has opened up a new realm of possibilities for creating customized visuals and learning tools. I have already started using it to create individualized visual supports, communication boards, and creative classroom displays, which help make the learning environment more accessible and welcoming for my students. It also allows me to tailor materials specifically to each child's needs, which is critical in a classroom where students have varying levels of language comprehension and expression.

    The cleaning supplies, while often overlooked, have helped ensure that our classroom remains a clean and safe environment for learning. With the health and safety of my students as a top priority, I can now maintain a sanitized space where students feel comfortable and ready to focus on their therapy goals.

    Looking ahead, my next steps include integrating the games into more structured lessons to target specific speech and language goals, as well as using the Cricut to further personalize learning tools and classroom visuals. These materials have given me the resources to create a more engaging, hands-on learning environment, and I can't wait to see the continued progress my students will make.

  • Speech Therapy: Help Me Help my Students Talk Back!

    Thank you so much for your generous donation to my classroom. I received items to help from 3 year old students all the way up to my fourth grade students, and I am so grateful for the opportunity to engage them in learning with all of the items I received. This has made a big impact on my students' learning because they are more focused and driven in the speech room with the new materials. My students and I are so thankful for the donations to our classroom.

    My students and especially grateful for the games and prizes we received. They always look forward to playing games for the last 2 minutes of speech if earned through their behavior due to all of our new inventory! They are so excited when they have 10 stickers to earn their prize due to the new prizes received, such as slap bracelets, squishes, and pop-its.
