Welcome Back!
Funded Jul 17, 2024My students and I (and other teachers as well) are grateful for your contributions! Many of my students have been enjoying the donations that you have generously donated. As the science teacher, I wished to have a decorated classroom full of diagrams and posters that would help and encourage the students to explore science. One of my students' and other teachers' favorite posters is the Women in Science poster that I hung on the door, and they have learned about so many women who are important in the scientific field. I am even proud to say that students like my class the best in terms of decor.
Another useful item is the pack of headphones I received. The students do a lot of digital work and watch videos that require headphones, so this is something that is used multiple times a day. I even have students from other classes come to borrow headphones.
Overall, I am so very thankful for all of the generous donations. You are helping out both students and teachers!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Nour
Feeling At Home
Funded Jan 2, 2024My students spend about 7 hours a day at school, with some spending even more time in after-school tutoring. Because of how much time they spend at school, I tend to call school their "second home." Thus, I find it important that they have what they need not just at home but at school as well. You have generously donated furniture to help make the classroom feel more welcoming. There were also some games that the students have enjoyed, both during their free time and during guided reading to practice their phonics.
Many books have been donated as well. One of my students' favorite is the SPOT series, where each book focuses on an emotion. These books are not only entertaining to them, but also provides them with some social emotional learning, which is extremely important for all kids.
Overall, we are grateful for all help and donations. My students and I have been utilizing all of our gifts and supplies as much as we could. Thank you so very much.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Nour

Funded Dec 12, 2023As we continue to use technology more and more in the classroom, students have certain needs. One is something many of us don't think about needing, and that is headphones. Headphones are a requirement for this class, as well as many other classes, because many of the platforms we use for learning have audios and videos that they need to listen to. And I'm sure you can imagine the commotion if everyone were to play these videos and audios loudly at the same time. And children, being children, tend to quickly break and lose their headphones, so having extra in stock is a need.
Another extremely helpful item that was funded is the laminator. I did not realize how helpful a laminator can be until I started incorporating more activities during my small group time. By using a laminator, my paper activities are protected and my students are able to use them multiple times instead of having to throw them away after the first time because they are wrinkled or torn. My students are also amazed by the laminator, and are excited to have more activities during small group time.
Overall, please know that any donation has a large impact in our class, no matter how small it may seem. Both the students and I are grateful for all the help we have received.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Nour
