Mrs. Rechlin is Jumping for Joy!
Funded Feb 9, 2024Thank you so much for donating to the students of Central Middle School. Many of the students in our special needs program require daily sensory input in order to appropriately regulate their body and emotions at school. Mini trampolines or rebounders are useful in helping sensory regulation, boosting the lymphatic system and supporting visual/motor development.
The teachers and staff in the special needs program put together the trampoline as soon as it was delivered. The students were so excited and began jumping immediately. A turn-taking procedure was put into place so that the students knew when and how to appropriately jump. The mini trampoline is used daily by the students that need big movements to help regulate their body.
Our goal in the middle school environment, is to have a sensory space with swings, trampolines, and mats that students are able to use when needed, or during therapy. We hope to create a dedicated space or calm room for all students with sensory needs. Your donation has impacted the lives of these students for the better. We are very appreciative.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Rechlin
