I am a special education teacher working with 15-20 incredible students in reading, writing, science, and math. My students are eager to learn and thrive in unique ways that suit their individual needs. I also emphasize the importance of embracing their challenges and using them as opportunities for growth. I deeply care about each of my students and always prioritize their best interests. Every morning, we recite our daily affirmation inspired by Rita Pierson: "I am somebody." On Fridays, my students share something they've accomplished at school that they’re proud to tell their families about. My students are important to me because they matter deeply to their families and represent the bright future ahead.
