Supply New Counseling Room!
Funded Oct 15, 2024Thank you for helping supply the counseling room at our elementary school! Students are very excited to use their art supplies, games, and toys as they engage in individual and group sessions.
Students use play to express themselves, build relationships and trust, and make new friendships. Each student is unique and having a variety of options in toys, games, and art supplies allows them voice and choice to express themselves, imagine, and create.
Thank you for contributing to our space and ensuring our students have the supplies they need to enjoy counseling and feel safe at school.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Rachel
New Counseling Books!
Funded Jan 2, 2025Thank you so much for contributing to our new counseling library! Our students have loved the new books and they are grounding group lessons and discussions.
Using social stories is a key part of developing language and vocabulary for describing big emotions and coping strategies that our students can use throughout their lives. Books like, "All the Ways to Be Smart" and "Giraffes Can't Dance" help students develop tolerance and identify their strengthens and unique talents.
Thank you for enlivening our counseling room and providing new, exciting books for our students to engage with.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Rachel
Make Counseling Fun! Support a Teen Counseling Center
Funded Dec 13, 2023With your help, our high school students enjoyed visiting their counseling room and had the needed supplies to engage in meaningful art and play therapy, as well as fun group counseling activities throughout the 23-24 school year.
We used clay to play "Pictionary" and to provide sensory activities. We incentivized attendance and hard work at school with stress fidgets, stickers, and snacks. We supported students in need of food and toiletries with our pantry throughout the year.
We cannot express how much your donation means and how much it helps us to create a teen-friendly space for students to discuss hard things, develop skills, get the support they need, and thrive.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Rachel
