Reading and STEM!

Thank you so much for the donations made to our classroom!!! Seeing the box of donations brought a huge smile to my student's faces.

The "A Little Spot" series books has made a great impact in our classroom so far. I use these books for our SEL (Social Emotional Learning) lessons and the kids love the images and animations in them. So far "A Little Spot of Happiness" is their favorite. It taught them that everyone can create a little spot of happiness in someone else and cause a chain reaction. I cant wait for them to engage in all the other books we have received.

Another item that they have been really excited about was our brand new carpet!!! It has changed the way we do read-alouds in our classroom. Before students would sit at their desks while I did the reading in the front of the room, but it felt like there was a disconnection. Now we can do read-aloud on the rug and it helps bring everyone closer together.

They also love the stem building blocks. Its their favorite fun Friday activities, as well as rainy day indoor activities.
