Hocus Pocus, Everybody Focus: Privacy Screens for Successful Students
Funded Apr 18, 2024Our 3rd Graders were so excited when they saw the brand new privacy screens that would be available to use this year! There were so many "ooohs" and "aahs" and "wows!" We just started our new school year, and they have already been used many times. The privacy screens are available throughout the day for students, as they learn to advocate for themselves and create an environment where they can be the most successful. Students not only use these during our assessments (we had our first math quiz last week), but also if they need less distractions during the school day. It becomes a safe space for many.
Our year is starting off with many successes and with much excitement, thanks to you! We are deeply appreciative of your generosity, kindness, and support. Thank you, thank you, thank you! Here's to a wonderful year!”

A Clean and Calm Classroom
Funded Dec 26, 2023We are so grateful for our new tools to help create a calm classroom! The items came quickly and were put to good use immediately! Our students were thrilled once they arrived. We have had several instances where the breathing activities and calming strips have helped students regulate their emotions independently and successfully.
The diffuser has helped create an overall serene and welcoming environment. Students feel even more at home in our classroom, which allows them to focus intently on their work. This makes the classroom somewhere we are all ready to learn and grow together. Along with the fidgets and calming activities, these small changes make a huge difference as they provide opportunities for students to self-advocate and self-regulate.
In our classroom, we have been hard at work to learn about multiplication and division strategies (circle groups, repeated addition/subtraction, arrays, and fact families). These tools you helped provide come at a fantastic time because we are almost at the end of our unit, where we will be taking a test to demonstrate our knowledge. Our students benefit from using these tools to help them do their best on summative assessments. We are so thankful!”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Kandler
