Help Kindergarteners Rock!

Thank you, thank you, thank you! The supplies you donated to my class have made such a huge difference for my students! They love the rocking chairs and they have really helped when the class is at circle time or at any whole group lesson.

Each morning we have a morning meeting where we discuss our schedule for the day, count the days of school and do our calendar. Also during the day we have whole group lessons for reading, writing and math. Many of my students are unable to self-regulate and need to keep some part of their body moving. I use fidget toys and keep the lessons short, but it is still a challenge for them to "sit still" and pay attention. The rocking chairs have been extremely helpful for my students to be able to attend to the lesson/activity and manage their need to be in motion. In fact, the chairs are great for ALL of my kindergarten students! They are really enjoying them and are doing so well with taking turns using them.”
