Feed the Squirrels
Funded Feb 22, 2024Thank you so much for your generous donations! The students have been so appreciative to have the food available when they are hungry and when they get to shop in our class store as well.
I have had over half of my students so far that are eating the snacks provided on a almost daily basis. It has really helped to support these kiddos with one of their most basic needs that need to be met before we can expect them to go to class and learn along with work on their social skills.

Things for Our Squirrels
Funded Nov 19, 2023Thank you so much for all your support and donations. The students are loving the new resources, especially all of the tools that helped in our updating of our new sensory room. Many of our students use this room on a daily basis and it has shown so much progress in helping the student self regulate when they become escalated and over stimulated.
The sensory wall in the sensory room that was created with the donations given has been one of the biggest hits of all with the students. A key moment was when even some of our older students who we didn't think would be interested in it saw it for the first time. The fifth graders saw it and immediately ran to it and sat there for almost thirty minutes laughing at how fun and relaxing it was to rub their hands over the sensory wall.
Lastly the students love all of the new tools, objects and snacks that have been added to my class store. It really helps motivate the students to actively participate and be kind on campus in order to earn tickets from my token economy so they can shop every Friday.
