  • Help Their Voices to Communicate Clearly

    Funded Feb 14, 2024

The students and I are using our new resources during our speech session when working on articulation or practicing having a conversation. We do have articulation cards but they are old and many of them bent or missing some cards within the deck. These new articulation cards are shiny and all present in each deck. The pictures in the conversation cards are a good size for the student. I really like how they are photos and not line drawn pictures.

I was probably more excited to use the new cards than the students. But they are excited when I am excited. They asked if the cards were new and wanted to hold them and inspect them.

We work with students who need help with their articulation skills, language skills, or both so, these new material will be used on a weekly basis depending on what the objectives of our students are. We like to keep our material clean and well maintained hence the wipes and the laminating sheets. We are so grateful for these brand new resources! Thank you so much!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Diana

    Funded Feb 18, 2024

My students and I are loving our new resources. Some of my student prefer the balance ball to sit on during our speech sessions so they can move around in that one area by the table. I love the storage cart and bins because it helps to keep me organized. I use the magnetic cubes as a reward for answering and they get to play with it at the end of our session. I was having a difficult time playing the stacking dinosaurs because it would always fall, but one of my student was able to come up with solution and suggested we follow the picture on the box. We got it to balance! We are having fun with our new resources. My students are engaged during our sessions.

My students asked if the toys were brand new. When I told them, these resources are new, they smiled because I was smiling. They were excited to play with them.

We are currently using the construction paper and card stock paper for our Mother's Day cards. All my students as young as preschoolers to my 6th graders will be making a card for their mother. These new materials will be put to good use because our old materials are faded and disintegrating.

Thank you so much for your kind and generous donation for my projects. My students and I are very grateful and full of joy to have these new materials.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Diana
