  • Future Construction Workers and Mathematicians

    Funded Dec 18, 2024

Students are using the materials in their math centers, writing centers and block centers. Students were filled with joy every time I introduced a new material. It was pure excitement and joy. Students could not contain themselves. The next steps for my students on a current classroom lesson is to continue exploring and engaging with all the materials. To explore in depth math and building discussions. Especially with building and the structures and how it is connected to math and everyday life. For my students to engage in meaningful discussions and increase their growth mindset in learning especially about math and building. I want my students to be guided in knowing that math is as important and reading and writing. Math and building is a progression and a building block. Them understanding the foundational skills of math and building will out them ahead of understanding when the foundations is strong is just building from there.”

  • Fashion Designers of the Future

    Funded Jan 19, 2024

The fine motor materials such as lacing, buckling, zipping, snapping and buttoning, provided continuous practice, allowing the students to hone their pencil grip. Students are now writing letter strings and their names. The clothing puzzles increase students' vocabulary in the clothing study. Students' expressive language also increased as they engaged in conversation about being a doctor, cowgirl, firefighter, superhero and the police officer in the future. These conversations let to "who want to be in the future" projects where students came to dressed as want to be when they grow up and expressed why they wanted to be that. Students were thrilled and overjoyed when I introduced new materials. They were super excited to engage in various activities. The lamination sheets provided me with the opportunity to print out several math and literacy centers that student engaged throughout the study. Student were very enthusiastic as they independently worked in these centers. The next steps for my students in a current classroom project are for the students to design their own clothes and participate in a fashion show for the school.”

  • Camping Center

    Funded Dec 11, 2023

During our Tree Study, the camping center materials were a huge hit in my students' learning. They were able to use their imagination and expand their vocabulary with 'A Camping Spree with Mr.Magee' and the tent that came with various materials. Students pretended to be campers and camp rangers, making an enormous impact on my English language learners. They utilized hands on materials to enhance their usage of the English language , and the students were completely over the moon when they saw the materials, filled with so much joy. They were constantly in the camping center, engaging in discussions about how they could save the trees and animals, expressing their aspirations to camp in the real woods one day. With this project, students will come up with their own story books depicting their camping experiences, what they learned, and how they plan to teach others about camping.”
