Basketball Introduction

Our students her at SWBC was so happy when they heard that we would have an after-school basketball program. The after-school program has been a huge success. we have opened up our program for grades 2-5th. We had so many kids sign up we had to split everyone up into two different groups. We are thankful to be able to compete against other school as well from the donation that we received. It has made a huge impact in our hallways with the students having something to look forward to. The kids all have grown a bond with students of different ages from working on basketball skills after school. So, it has really helped us become more a family inside our school building.

The kid's eyes got really big when they see us break out some of the basketball equipment. Our students are so used to just using whatever was at their disposal, when they noticed the equipment that they normally just see on the internet they were all eager to get started. I constantly hear positive talks throughout our hallway since the program has started and behaviors has somewhat changed with them looking forward to basketball afterschool.

We are so grateful and appreciative for the donations that we received to get something like this started at our school. We definitely plan to keep this going with the help of our school staff.”
