O’Keeffe Cosmetology Program

The resources that you all provided have been an amazing addition to O'Keeffe Elementary. The generosity that you all presented made it possible for us to have a successful cosmetology class. Every student that was apart of the cosmetology program were extremely excited to be involved and actually learn about hair, skin, and nails. I allowed the my students to be as creative as they wanted to be with the hairstyles they learned how to do; with my guidance, of course.

When my students first saw the materials they were super excited and grateful. They were very interested to see all the materials that was ordered for the class. Before we even began, I made sure I asked my students what were they actually interested in learning to do. Since all of the materials were based on what I know they wanted to do, their reactions were genuinely pleased.

The next steps for my project is continuing to teach my students all about cosmetology for the remainder of this program. I actually want to create another donors choose, so that my students can have more than enough materials. I want my class to continue to grow, so getting more materials that can help them learn new styles and techniques would be wonderful.”
