Math Supplies for 6th grade Learning
Funded Jan 31, 2024I truly appreciate your donation to this project. The items have been a good addition to the classroom. One of the focuses in my math class has been the students working collaboratively at whiteboards. Because of this my students go through a lot of dry erase markers! The black markers I was able to get with this project have been a life saver. The students are no longer complaining about markers that barely work. The students also appreciate the stress balls. They have been useful during the end of the year testing. Students are able to focus on their tests as they squeeze the stress balls.
Overall the items I was able to acquire with your donation have been a great addition my classroom and my students.”

Creating Beautiful Things In Math
Funded Jan 30, 2024I am extremely grateful for your donation to this project. The new technology we acquired will be helpful in the classroom.
The color printer is an upgrade to the school issued printer we have in the classroom. I am able to print things off easily in my classroom and with out worry of the page streaking or only being half printed. Also because it is a color printer I can create materials in color for the classroom! The major benefit with the color printer is with a percentage project the students do in math. They create a menu and find the percentage for tip and tax on orders. The students were excited to see their menus in full color! The laminator is also a very useful tool for the classroom. I am able to make task cards with problems for the students to solve, and these cards last from class to class, and will last for the next coming years.
Thank you again for allowing my classroom to gain these useful tools!”

Help Lahaina Keiki Find Comfort
Funded Dec 19, 2023Thank you again for your contributions to this project. My homeroom students were there to help me deliver the boxes to my room. They were so excited to open the boxes and see what we received. The first thing they did was help distribute the seat cushions to all the chairs! Those have been a big hit. The first day we had those all my classes were commenting on how comfortable they were now that they had cushions.
All the supplies have been appreciated. I painted with my class and they were very excited to relax and create. I even had some of them come in at lunch later that day to finish their painting. I always have the colors out whenever they have free time and want to color, or if they want to add some color to their math notes. I also have the fidgets available for any of my students who need them during class. They especially helped during our mid year assessments. Each student had a stress ball and they were so focused! The snacks are probably the most popular. The students know if they are hungry and need a snack they can ask. And I feel like that helps them stay focused on their learning when they don't need to worry about food. Also the games have been a hit! Buildzi is my students favorite game at the moment. They ask to play when we have a little free time at the end of class. I enjoy seeing them work together to complete the builds and figure out how to make them.
All in all these contributions have been amazing and all the students appreciate them.”
