Critical Thinking at Work!
Funded Feb 17, 2024Thank you so much for your incredible contribution to critical thinking in my classroom! Students across three different content areas have benefitted from your generosity: World History I, AP World History, and African American History.
In World History I (9th grade), the students worked collaboratively through a strategy known as ABC Graffiti to better understand the development and historical importance of ancient Axum (Ethiopia).
AP World History (10th grade) students used the large sticky notes and secondary sources to evaluate which states before WWII developed into totalitarian regimes based on the "Wheel of Totalitarianism."
Finally, in African American History (10th-12th grade), the class used the small white boards and speeches and other primary sources to determine the diverse arguments of early 20th-century Black leaders, including Booker T. Washington, WEB DuBois, and Marcus Garvey.
None of this could have been possible without you!”
With gratitude,
Mr. Riley
