Autism Classroom Support Materials
Funded Nov 11, 2023We really appreciate your donation and contribution to our students' education. The additional support has really benefitted our students. The sensory balls have become one of my students favorites decompressing item. My students have benefit from the wobble chair by reducing their rocking behaviors when returning to a standard chair.
My students were excited to receive many of these items. Since my students were able to select the items requested, the students were excited to see the items in person. The students were excited to see their items the same style and color as selected virtually. My student who struggles with computing values of coins complete their work faster with Coin-u-lator's visual support for every computation step. Coin-u-lator's are so expensive, yet so beneficial for students in the autism programs in high school. My students now simply press the coin, and the value gets added or subtracted; this is much faster than punching 3 to 4 buttons to add a nickle value (0.05) or a quarter value (0.25). My student with vocational goals for independence have benefit from the fine locomotor skill with the donated items. Thank you for these item. The donated items have improved my students academic and sensory needs.”
With gratitude,
Mr. Higareda
