An Environment That Facilitates Learning

Funded Nov 10, 2023

My students enjoy playing with the spinners and stress balls in addition to the other gifts (i.e., hooks, velcro dots, etc.). For instance, we have a student with visual impairment, and he enjoys the shadows created by the lights in the spinners in addition to manipulating them with his hands.

We also use the Dry-Erase Pocket System to post daily housekeeping tasks. During morning and afternoon routines, students take turn walking or using their respective wheelchairs to access the Job Chart. By placing their picture in a pocket assigned to daily task(s), they proceed to perform their activities accordingly.

In the end, your gift provides students with opportunities of enjoyment, stimulation and definitely helps to facilitate the learning process.”

With gratitude,

Mr. Romero
