At Pinecrest-Cadence my high school juniors and seniors will not just learn foundational knowledge & skills in Psychology or US Government & Economics, but they are ready to explore difficult topics in the realm of social justice. Our seniors explore the historical and contemporary issues impacting voting rights and poverty, while our juniors tackle head-on the roots of and the continued struggle to overcome prejudice and racism. This highly motivated group of ethnically diverse young adults are eager to prove to everyone they can lend their voice to issues that have plagued many generations of Americans. Through the use of technology and project based learning my students will not just demonstrate mastery of the curriculum, but will showcase their ideas, opinions, and solutions to some of society's most challenging problems.
