Getting Comfy and Cozy in the Reading Corner

Students in my English class are utilizing the extra-large, extremely comfortable bean bag chairs to read, complete work, and take breaks when they are feeling overwhelmed. Having them in the classroom makes the room feel like an inviting, safe space for students to read and work. Before the addition of the chairs, the classroom was not nearly as inviting or comfortable.

When the students first saw the chairs, they were very surprised and and at first a little reluctant to use them for fear of not "looking cool". Now they can't use them enough. The chairs are their favorite places to sit. It's nice for them to have another seating option besides a desk all the time. The chairs make them feel special and are grateful that donors choose provided them to our classroom.”
