Listening Center in the Making
Funded Nov 8, 2023I was beyond grateful to receive such generous donation made to my listening center for my second graders! The donations that were provided to my students have really impacted our learning environment.Being able to have a more quiet classroom environment now that each student has their own set of headphones has made a huge difference in both reading and math goals for many of my students.
The bright colored headphones were a big hit as soon as my students received them. I assigned a set of headphones to each student and numbered them so that each student knew exactly which one belonged to them. The headphones are used daily during our reading and math independent times. During reading students log on to Lexia Core 5 in which they practice foundational skills in order to gain mastery. In math they use I-Ready to gain skills to meet their individual math goals.Lastly, our headphone organizer works great in keeping our classroom organized. It gives students the opportunity to keep their headphones nice and neat for their daily use.
My students are always eager to learn and by giving them this opportunity not only sets them up for success but motivates them even more to improve their reading and math skills. Seeing how much they have improved has brought smiles to their faces! Thank you so much for such a generous and thoughtful donation to my classroom. Both my students and myself appreciate it from the bottom of our hearts.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Cueva
