  • Growing Chess Club Needs Games

    Funded Oct 31, 2023

    The Stephens Middle School chess club is up and running! We are using the chessboards that you helped us purchase every Tuesday and Thursday at our after school club. The students love having enough boards when all 22 students attend the club.

    When the students saw all the boards arrive, they were so EXCITED! It is quite different playing on a real board versus a computer (when we didn't have enough boards to go around).

    This Saturday we have 8 students attending their first Chess Tournament. This is made possible by your generous contributions through Donors Choose. Thank you so much for helping us achieve our goal!”
