Thank you for your 3d printer donation. It has been constantly running since we received it last month. We currently have 70 students learning 3d modeling and product design in our Intro to CAD and Intro to Engineering Design courses. By using 3d printers, we are able to bring our designs to life and students can learn how to problem-solve issues that arise when you go from a digital design to using real materials.

We've recently been using our printers to make a variety of projects. We've been having students who are new to modeling working on designing toy cars. Students who have been learning about tolerances have been designing fidget spinners that need to fit with a bearing that they are provided. We have also been experimenting with different materials by designing molds to use to create silicone parts.
