• A Happier Classroom

  The resources from this project have changed my classroom dramatically. I have been able to incorporate some of the games and buzzers to gamify my lessons and make kids more interested in learning. Many students spend their lunch period in my class because this has become a safe space for them to hang out and avoid the loud and overcrowded cafeteria.

  The wobble stool has also had a huge impact in my room. I have several students with ADHD and difficulty staying focused. I have seen a major change in their behavior when they use the wobble stool. Since I only have 1 wobble stool, it also encourages them to get to class early so they can be the first one on it.

• Fill My Students' Care Closet

  Thank you so much for your contributions! My students were so excited to see all the snacks arrive to my classroom. I have seen much better engagement in classwork and discussions because of the snacks. Many of my students don't like to eat the school breakfast and lunch since it is not always the most tasty or filling and they love knowing that they can always come to my room and get a snack to get them through their day.

  No one can learn or focus on anything while they are hungry. Thanks to your generous donations, my students don't have to worry about that. Thank you again!”

• My Students Need Pencils and Art Supplies!

  Thank you so much for donating to this project. I apologize for the lateness in this letter, I was absent for a long period due to medical reasons. Since I ordered the supplies, my students have completed numerous projects and classwork assignments where they were able to be creative and add some color to them. Students are also able to use the art supplies during free time to doodle and create their own art. Finally, more students have been able to complete paper classwork since we now have pencils that they like to use.

• Pads and Tampons Needed

  Thank you so much for donating to my project. After I received the products, I put a bowl in both of the girls' bathrooms at my school and filled them with the pads and tampons. Several students have come to me to express their gratitude as they did not have the supplies they needed. I have kept the bowls regularly supplied, but students now know they can also come to my room and get what they need out of the closet at any time. Students that I don't even teach have felt comfortable coming to my room to ask for what they need.

• Printer Paper Needed

  Thank you so much for contributing to my project for printer paper. My student engagement numbers have risen dramatically as a direct result of your donation! Students have grown tired of starting at a chrome book all day and they much prefer reading on paper. Plus, having paper articles allows for them to annotate directly on them and practice other active reading strategies which helps them understand the article better.

• Snacks and Personal Care Products

  Thank you so much for contributing to my first donors choose project. With your donations, I was able to establish a self care closet in my classroom. Students have access to this closet at anytime to get any item they might need. There are snacks, period products, cleaning products, tissues, and more in it.

  My students have greatly appreciated having access to the cabinet of supplies. As a first year teacher, it has also helped me build rapport with my students because they know that I care about them and their needs.
