• Flexible Seating Firsties

  Thank you so much for your help in reaching our project goal. These flexible seating options are going to make a huge difference in our classroom. We use our small group table every day several times a day. This lets us to give students another choice in seating besides a traditional chair. Students often need options to move their bodies and the wobble chairs are a great addition for my first grade students. They were immediately used upon opening. The students love them right away. We look forward to putting these seats to good use.

• Snack Haul

  Thank you so much for donating to our classroom snack bin. My students favorite time of day is our afternoon snack. It gives him something to look forward to after having such an early lunch and a very busy packed afternoon. Our school is title one. Almost all if not most students can't afford to bring something in and all receive free lunches. So a nice little treat for them after is always something that can smile about. This takes the burden off of the family and make sure no student goes home with a hungry belly.

The program we have in place helps keep students behaviors under control during the school day. It is a great reminder of what they are working towards. It is also a tool we utilize to help deescilate students who are having a hard time. There are fidgets and sensory toys available for students who need them. We love our prize box and keeping it full helps us in so many ways! Thank you!!!”

• New Year, New Snacks

  We are so lucky to have special friends looking out for us. Every student now is able to participate in snack time and we look forward to this daily. No one is left out, and no one has a rumbling tummy.

  We are so grateful that people care about us. Even people who do not know us personally. I have taught my students about DonorsChoose and how it works. Now they look forward to our happy mail deliveries from our new friends.

• Resetting Our Classroom

  Thank you for your donations to help get our classroom started for the new school year. I started this year out on maternity leave and had a long-term sub. Between her and the wonderful paraprofessionals in my room, they were helping the student start out without me. These materials allowed all the students to have access to things they needed and also allowed my substitute teacher to personalize the room to her own taste while I was gone.

  The students were able to come into a warm and welcoming classroom. All of the supplies were there and readily available to them and it makes a huge difference.”
