  • A Little Bit of Everything!

    Funded Sep 18, 2024

    We are so thankful for new supplies any time they arrive! This set of items was mostly fun things for the students to enjoy when they come to library. The displays have encouraged students to try lots of new books already this year, since they are seeing the covers and are easy to get to! The carpet has been a fun addition during DEAR time to accompany our bean bags! I was also so happy to add an Arabic copy of Harry Potter to our foreign language section for students who speak that in addition to English. The students also love the jellyfish!”

  • Library Centers Need a Refresh!

    Thank you so much for helping refresh our library centers! Our Chargers are already excited to get them back out to play with! By adding more legos, we are now able to have three lego buckets (they are VERY popular)! We have also been able to add more variety because of this project! Students will now have special occasion centers, like the table top foosball, and supplies for centers they've been asking for like drawing! We are so excited to have this refresh, as it is much needed at the end of every school year! Thank you for showing us that support and kindness!”

  • An Inspiring Place to Read!

    Thank you so much for your support of the Charger Library! We are putting all of our new supplies to good use! To start, we have hung our new grass wall to create a cozy reading area for students to enjoy! A few students have even started to read our new Magic Tree House graphic novels! Another fun area for students to read has been created using a rocket ship we already had, but adding the new bean bag and moon rug! I know students will be fighting for that spot when we start DEAR time again! I also cannot wait to break out our new galaxy light for movie days and DEAR time! I know the students will love to see that! We are so grateful for your donation and support of our library and our goal to make it a safe place to read!”

  • A Familiar Shared Space

    Thank you for supporting the library! Students have loved the new additions we have received because of Donors Choose! It is a constant thought on how to create safe places for students to enjoy when they come to activity, and having access to Donors Choose is making that happen! Students have been able to use their new chairs and rugs to read during designated times! The rugs have also been added to other areas, in an effort to make them more inviting! We are also taking full advantage of new supplies for our center areas like legos! Thank you again for supporting students and teachers!”

  • Mobile Learning

    On behalf of myself and my students, THANK YOU! We are loving our new technology and the ways it can be used in the library! While students have access to technology in our school, it has been exciting to use the iPad to access tools in other ways! Students are using the iPad to read during D.E.A.R. (or Drop Everything and Read) and also to access games on the library website!

    Having the a different tool to access Epic! and other websites for reading has been great for students who did not, or could not, check out books that day. It also allows them to read books that we may not have a physical copy of in the library.

    We have also used it as a calm down tool for those who many need a moment to regulate their emotions. For this we are taking full advantage of coloring and drawing apps!

    So, thank you again for your generosity! We are enjoying our new technology and look forward to finding new ways to incorporate it into our everyday routines in the library!”
