MCAS Motivation
Funded Feb 18, 2025I can't thank you enough for your continued donations and support. This year was either the first or second time my students have taken the state MCAS test. They have been working diligently for weeks to prepare.
When handing out the bags, their eyes lit up and they were jumping and screaming with joy. Knowing that they have people that care and support them like their educators makes them feel seen and so so special.
Thank you for making this happen. With your donations, the students feel much more prepared and motivated to test! Thank you from all of us in grades 3 and 4 :)”

Funded Nov 3, 2024We can't thank you enough for your continued support and care for us. At first, they were unsure about the hole punches, but when they realized what they were, they were so joyful and thankful to have something like it!
Before, we passed around the only hole punch we had, but it ended up breaking. Papers were being lost and the binders were becoming disorganized. With the hole punches and tab dividers you donated towards, each student has improved their skill of being organized and neat. These materials also allowed them to do better on their tests since they knew where everything was located!
This wouldn't have been possible without your help. Your generosity and care for them does not go unnoticed. So thank you!”

School Supplies to Start the Year Right
Funded Aug 14, 2024The start of the school year has been amazing thanks to you! They were so excited to receive the many packages that were for them.
The binders have been used for their history classes. All of our students have supplies to be organized and help them excel in their history classes. All of the pencils, highlighters, and markers have been getting their fair share of use.
Not only are the students thankful, but my colleagues and I can't thank you enough for supporting us and our students. As things get more expensive, it is so important to have these supplies in the classrooms and without your help, we couldn't make our environments as rich as they are.
They couldn't be the students they are without you. Thank you! ”

Funded May 22, 2024As my 8th graders got ready for high school, many of them had tears in their eyes, but I could tell most of them were sad to leave the school they've called home for more than 10 years.
As we read the book as a class, I watched them tear up and could see them feel so special and loved. They appreciated feeling celebrated and I appreciated seeing them grow into confident young adults.
Each student got a book signed by their teachers to take home as well as a note to say we were proud of them. They each received a goody bag and they were more than grateful to open it and see what was inside.
We appreciate your support and commitment to my students as they grow into their new phase of life.”

Motivating Middle School for MCAS
Funded Mar 23, 2024I can't thank you enough for the support you have shown my students. During the MCAS season, students were able to feel confident in themselves and comforted in knowing you care for their education as much as I do. They were surprised and felt very loved.
The snacks kept them full and the mints helped them stay focused. They loved the calming stickers with the different textures and the bracelets became the hottest trend amongst the middle schoolers.
With your help, our scores have continued to rise. We thank you tremendously.”

Envisioning 2024
Funded Dec 18, 2023Over the last couple of weeks, my students and I created our vision boards and are starting to work towards our goals! This project allowed them to have hope and joy about new and scary transitions they will be experiencing within the next year.
Most of my group are 8th graders that are on their way to high school; some are picking schools that are out of district after being with the same group of peers since they were 3 years old! With the vision boards, my students became less anxious and really enjoyed envisioning their future outside of everything they've known. They've started working harder because they want to see their goals and dreams take off.
With that being said, a number of students in my group have been accepted into the schools they applied to and are hopeful for a bright and successful future. We can't thank you enough and share our appreciation for everything you've done. So thank you!”

Holiday Cheer
Funded Nov 15, 2023Thank you for your generosity and love that you had for my students. When I handed out the bags, I watched a group of 12-14 year olds acting like kids on a holiday morning. They were so excited to see the fidgets and stickers they received in their bags. They also traded candy with their friends and kept thanking me over and over.
We also greatly appreciate the help to access to toothpaste, deodorant, a new tooth brush, and a notebook to write in. I know these items went a farther distance than the fidgets and candy.
Your donation will forever be remembered and appreciated.”

This classroom project was brought to life by Townsend Press and 3 other donors.School Newspaper
Funded Oct 11, 2023My students have been working really hard on their stories and getting them out to the school community. They come to class excited to work and are proud to provide something like a newspaper to their friends and families.
So far, we have taken photos with the cameras and SD cards and they have been going to different school events (during and after) to document what is happening in the world around them. They have also learned how to write a "news" story that would keep their readers engaged and interested.
With your help, my students have not only grown as writers, but as community members. We are very appreciative of your generosity and love!”
