International Women's Day Celebration!

Our international Women's Day celebration was an opportunity for our students to think about all the contributions that women have brought into our society and to discuss how the young woman of today can create new and innovative paths for the future that is forthcoming.

Getting to hear our students voice their opinions and even their concerns about how women are depicted in media and how they sometimes feel misrepresented or how they feel that they are well represented was refreshing and as much as a learning experience for us as teachers as it was for them as students.

Lastly, our students enjoyed feeling very elegant eating their snacks and drinking from their teacups and they loved the decor that came with our celebration. Many of them enjoyed sipping on their "tea" (it was really Sprite) with their pinkies up and that was a delight to see.”
