Funded May 7, 2024My students have had a much more seamless experience with blended learning (using computer programs to extend our material) this year, thanks to your help. Everyone has functioning headphones and are able to use our computer programs without distracting others with the sounds. In our Spanish computer program, for example, students need to listen to the words said aloud in their program, to learn how to pronounce them. Having full volume has helped a great deal.
I have been able to organize the headphones so each students has a pair assigned just to them and can keep them in their desk. To no longer have students fighting over limited headphones gives such peace to my day and school year. Our station work time is much more focused, as some students use the headphones even without sound to help them focus on their work. This allows me to put my full attention on the small group of students I need to teach at time. Differentiated teaching is necessary with students at such different levels and very helpful for student growth.”
