• Gardening in PreK

  Funded Apr 4, 2024

  Thank you so much for the generous donations to Langley Preschool. The donations have gone towards wonderful gardening supplies to help our classroom learn more about nature.

  While we await for the next school year and work with our community to receive more soil; we are using the current supplies to play and garden in the current flower beds.

  Our hope is to use the items we received to create flower beds that can help show the students the change is seasons. This will be something our students can look forward to as the school year progresses.”

• Learning By Being Organized in PreK

  Thank you so much for the the generous donations to the Langley Preschool classroom. We feel humbled by the support to our classroom.

  We have been using the new organizing tools daily. The clear bins are a hit because students can see the toys inside which helps make decision making easier for learning center time.

  We also are greatly enjoying the new art material organizers. The colored pencil holder is popular because it "has a rainbow" as the students put it. The marker and crayon holders are well loved by the students too because they can sort by color and a lot of students enjoy that sense of order.

• Lets Read in PreK!

  Thank you so much for your donation to Langley PreK. We are extremely grateful for your contribution and what it has been able to get us for the classroom. I and the students are excited to have so many tablets to use in the classroom that help teach the students reading, letters, and basic math skills

  Students look forward to learning centers time because we have the option of having a technology center now. Students look forward to choosing how they want to explore on the tablet, by picking what kind of learning app they use that day. The most popular right now is a bicycle game that teaches letter recognition.

• Diverse Books for PreK

  Thank you so much for your donation to Langley PreK. We are extremely grateful for your contribution and what it has been able to get us for the classroom. I and the students are excited to have so many new books that help teach about the diversity in our world.

  Students look forward to afternoon circle time because we have new books to read during this time. Often the students will ask if I will be choosing a book from the new pile in the morning hoping that they may get to listen to a read aloud of two new books that day.
