  • Microphone and Making Memories

    You have blessed us immensely. We have been able to go out into our community and make music with those who matter most! In December, we took our brand new microphones and speakers to a retirement community and shared our carols and Christmas songs with the residents. This blessed their hearts and our students used their voices to serve.

    I am so grateful for the donations that make our students better people. As we embark on fundraiser performance in just a week to raise money for the Miami Rescue Mission, it is evident that these donations are bringing impact to our very own community in mighty ways.     We are so appreciative of all the ways you have blessed our program! By having our printer filled with ink, we have had no boundaries as to how we can learn. From printing music to music theory practice worksheets, we have had every opportunity to expand our musicianship skills right in our classroom. Our extra papers have given us the chance to make an impact on the community at Southwood, as well! We loved making thank you cards for our teachers during teacher appreciation month and showing our love for our core teachers. We are so grateful!”

  • Our Singers Pushing Paper

    On behalf of the Southwood Middle School Magnet Chorus, we would like to thank you for your generous donations to our program. When I arrived at Southwood, we had a printer that would jam within every three pages printed. It made it very difficult to bring exciting, new and interactive ways to learn to my students quickly and effectively.

    Since having our printer, we have have students compose music for the class, use their printed music to carol for the front office staff and been able to sharpen our skills in music theory with worksheets and much practice.

    My greatest hope for my students is that they have access to every type of learning possible within my classroom. Whether that is playing games to know each other better, practicing their composition skills, or singing music in various languages, our new printer has simply made our lives easier. We have endless possibilities at our fingertips and we are forever grateful.”
