I want to extend our heartfelt thank you for your generous Scholastic News purchase for our 3rd grade class. This resource is invaluable in making our social studies curriculum engaging and accessible for us all. We are able to interact with a curriculum that is at grade level and provides online resources that allow all students to read and engage at their level.

Your support allows my students to explore important topics in a fun and Interactive way, while fostering a love for learning that we truly appreciate. Thank you once again for your generosity.”

  • Exploring Learning Through STEM

    Funded Nov 28, 2023

I am excited to share with you the positive impact that STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education is having on our 3rd-grade classroom. My students were very excited to see the contents of the boxes upon arrival knowing they would get to experience hands-on learning through STEM. The commitment to incorporating STEM activities has brought about numerous benefits for my students' learning experiences and overall development. To maximize the impact of STEM in my classroom, I incorporated a variety of hands-on activities that encourages curiosity and fosters a positive and supportive learning environment. The donated STEM activities encourage students to think critically, solve problems, and make decisions. These skills are crucial for academic success and are applicable in various real-world situations. The STEM activities involve hands-on experiences, allowing my students to actively engage with the content. This makes their learning more enjoyable and help them develop a deeper understanding of concepts. We have been able to explore the science behind catapults and discuss the benefits of constructing their own catapult and gained hands-on experience with concepts such as kinetic and potential energy. We are looking forward to future butterfly and composting projects during Spring.

Thank you for your ongoing support as we continue to explore the exciting world of STEM in our 3rd-grade classroom. Together, we are laying the groundwork for a future generation of critical thinkers, problem solvers, and innovators.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Lange
