Special Education Music Class

I wanted to say how grateful I and my students are for the donations. The students that I teacher all qualify for special education services for a variety of disabilities. Including but not limited to autism, emotional disturbance, specific learning disabilities. Their access to music education is highly limited.

With these donations we are able to work on rhythm and even some of the fundamentals of percussion though the basic rudiments. Using the claves and the tambourines helps in this matter too.

The students were shocked to receive new equipment. Because my school is so low income, we don't have a band or music department. Most of these students have never seen or even held an instrument before. These students are loving the exposure to music in any form.”
