  • Fueling Young Minds With Nutritious Snacks

    Funded Aug 16, 2024

    Because of you, my students did not have to go hungry during class. Because of you, students were focused on the tasks at hand rather than their next snack/meal. Thank you, Donors, for helping my students throughout the year. When I introduced the snacks to my classes, I poured them into a bin and it was filled to the top. Since then, I'm delighted to report that the bin has been emptied. All 90 students have been able to eat nutritious snacks one way or another. Thank you for all that you did for our class this semester.”

  • My Science Notebook: What I Learned in Biology Class is?

    You have made an instrumental impact to my classroom this year. With your support, my students have been able to document their science progress, wonderings, and experiments within a single portfolio. We have been able to ensure students have all the necessary tools needed to succeed as well as demonstrate great organization skills.

    Everyday, students jot down their SEL check-ins or curriculum based warm-ups in their "warm-up" section of their notebook. As we continue with our phenomenons, we use our notebooks to paste in resources that offer new information about the topic at hand as well as activities we've accomplished along the way. Additionally, we use our notebooks to document notes where students can jot down information without restrictions. As the year continues, I plan on utilizing our notebooks in a more creative way that helps with learning and provides future organizational skills in other classes.

    I am excited to share some samples of interactive notebooks with you all soon. Once again, thank you so much for everything you've done for our classroom.”
