Hands-on Learning With Fine Motor Play
Funded Feb 2, 2025Thanks to your generous support, we've been able to introduce new fine motor games, adaptive lines and activities, such as games and theraputty, into our therapy sessions. These tools have already made a significant impact on my students' development.
When the my students first saw the new fine motor games, they were excited and curious. They were eager to explore these new tools. Their enthusiasm turned into focus as they realized how much fun they could have while building important skills. The tactile nature of the materials instantly engaged them, and they quickly grasped how they could use them to improve.
In our sessions, students use these fine motor games to improve hand-eye coordination and grip strength. A favorite activity has been picking up small objects with tweezers to place into containers, which helps them develop precision and finger dexterity. We've also been using theraputty to enhance their hand strength and finger mobility through fun, tactile exercises. One memorable moment was when a student who initially struggled with fine motor tasks was able to complete a challenging theraputty exercise for the first time, and their face lit up with pride. It was an exciting and motivating milestone! Thank you for your support!!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Rebecca
