  • New Books Requested by Students

    Thank you so much for coming through and funding our library project! Right away, there was a huge rise in checkouts, especially in the older grade levels. Students felt like they were heard when they saw new titles requested by them on our shelves. Many titles still have a waitlist even months later! Every single title has been checked out at least once and many have not stayed in stock longer than a day! This goes to show what a huge impact new books has on our students.

    Every student in grades K-8 is able to check out one book a week so this project really did impact our whole school. I used some of the new picture books for read alouds and they were checked out the same day. 4-8 are loving our graphic novels and young adult books.
