  • Ignite Their Love for Reading

    Funded Oct 3, 2024

As an elementary school teacher, I always try to find ways to motivate my students to read for fun. My main goal for this project was to ignite my students' love for reading. Thanks to your generous donations, my vision for this project became a reality. Our classroom library became fully stocked with updated books that created excitement for our young readers.

Since our new books arrived, I have noticed an increase in engagement during our daily 15 minutes of silent reading. The "I Survived" and "Dog Man" series are both a huge hit with my third graders. I am happy to see my students enjoying both fiction and non-fiction books. We are pleased with our new books and I can't wait to see more students cherish them in the years to come.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. White

    Funded Oct 17, 2024

Thank you for your generous donations! With your support, I am now able to create a comfortable learning environment with flexible seating opportunities. This will elevate student engagement and improve the metal well-being of our students. I am excited to see their level of productivity increase in our new space.”

  • Creating Excitement for Learners

    Funded Feb 18, 2024

Many of my students benefit from hands-on activities. With the new resources we received, we have been able to use playdough and wax sticks to introduce concepts of equal parts to help us understand fractions. My students had a blast with these tactile manipulatives.

My students' level of engagement and passion for reading elevated with the donation of the "I Survived" graphic novel series and "Dog Man" books. These books sparked the love of reading and motivated my students to read. During Spring Break, we had a school-wide challenge where we asked students to keep track of their reading. I am happy to report that our class had the most minutes out of the whole school!

With the other materials that we received, my next steps are to continue to build interactive materials and hands-on activities to reinforce concepts learned in class. This will allow students to show their thinking in a variety of ways and will promote critical thinking skills.

My students and I are beyond grateful for your donations! It has made a huge impact on their learning and growth this year.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. White
