Every Child is an Artist!
Funded Jan 8, 2025At times, our words cannot express how we are feeling. In kindergarten, many students express themselves more clearly through art! They can show emotions through color, different pen strokes, choice of materials, and more.
Thank you so much for all of the beautiful art supplies!
Our students have been using them to create beautiful art pieces. We have made collages and painted just for fun as well as made group projects that we have proudly displayed.
We have also used the materials as we learned about famous Black artists during Black History Month.
Our two favorite artists:
Alma Woodsey Thomas - She is most known for exuberant colors in her abstract paintings!
Faith Ringgold - Author and Illustrator of Tar Beach - We used pastels and collage to create our own Tar Beach pictures!
I can't wait to see what we create next!”

All Aboard! Choo Choo!
Funded Sep 13, 2024Thank you so much for your generous donations to our kindergarten classroom.
Our trains and other transportation toys have brought so much joy to our friends and classmates!
I have seen beautiful teamwork as friends work together to create giant train tracks in the classroom. They are learning how to communicate with each other as they discuss, execute, and enjoy their plans.
Students who tended to play independently at the beginning of the year are now seen engaging with their peers as they create whole new worlds!
Thanks again!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Meredith

Funded Sep 4, 2024Thank you so much for bringing joy to our classroom!
The play kitchen has been a huge hit among my students. Every day I watch as our young learners explore the world through play. They are pretending to be parents, babies, doctors, pets, teachers, waiters, cooks, and so much more.
They are working on problem solving, turn taking, and social emotional development.
They are also so proud of the new items that they eagerly participate in cleanup and make sure that everything is put away and taken care of properly.
Thank you again!”

Funded Sep 1, 2024Thank you so much for your generous donations! You have made a huge impact on our young learners.
The day that our new rug arrived there was so much excitement in the classroom! The students eagerly helped me roll up our old battered rug. I then unwrapped our new, colorful, beautiful rug. The students helped me unroll it and then joyfully played on it and jumped from square to square. True joy in our kindergarten classroom!
The rug allows them to have their own space, their own square during whole group lessons. They can sit and not worry about being in each other's space. It makes learning so much easier. And the colors are fun too!
Our color printer has been a game changer! Our Word Wall and Focus Wall have never been more vibrant or accessible.
Thank you again from all of us in kindergarten!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Meredith
